Changes to residential smoke alarm legislation
The new Queensland smoke alarm legislation affects ALL home owners, landlords and tenants!
By January 1 2027 all homes in Queensland are required to meet the new smoke alarm legislation. All smoke alarms in dwellings must be photoelectric, interconnected and installed in every bedroom, hallways which connect bedrooms to the rest of the dwelling, and on every level of the home.
